Festival fun

30 Oct, 2009 09:19 AM
THE streets of Bega are set to transform when the inaugural Bega Valley Festival is held on November 20,21,22.

Coinciding with the festival, businesses in the town will hold a huge sale, co-ordinated by Bega District News.

To have some fun and to make the town come alive, everyone is being asked to dress up in a circus theme.

Businesses are taking part and those coming to town are encouraged to do the same.

Chamber of Commerce president Robert Hayson said he hoped this event would “follow the success of other dress up sales when everyone got into the spirit of the occasion”.

Natasha Lloyd Jones, advertising manager at Bega District News, encourages businesses to become involved and take advantage of all the people coming to town for the festival.

“We’ll have a spruiker on Saturday morning as well as entertainment in the street,” she said.

“There’ll be great bargains, lots of fun and an exciting festival; it will be a wonderful time.”
