Current level of the Bega River at Bega North sits at 4.96m and falling.
Further rain is forecast over the next 24 hours. The situation is being closely monitored and revised predictions will be issued if necessary.
At these heights there is a high probability that the following has occurred:
Princes Highway remains closed in both directions with local diversions in place and some low lying areas in Bega remain inundated.
Motorists should avoid driving through flood waters, which may have washed away road surfaces and could be deeper or faster-flowing than they look. Farmers should take action to protect pumps, other equipment and livestock.
Isolated showers are expected throughout the day
The township of Towamba in the Bega Valley, with a population of around 367 people, remains isolated.
The township of Rocky Hall in the Bega Valley, with a population of around 100 people/50 properties remains isolated.
