Surf
wheelchair
donation
MASONS from the five lodges of District 105 - Bega, Pambula(2) Bombala and Cooma have contributed in excess of $5500 towards the cost of two specialised surf wheel chairs.
The balance of the $11000 plus total cost is being funded by a grant from Masonicare, the organisation's major charity organisation.
The Swiss designed and made chairs are designed to be manipulated directly by the disabled user or with the assistance of a carer and can be taken directly into the water.
The chairs will be handed over to the Tathra and Pambula Beach Surf Clubs next month in time for use in the coming surf season.
